This latest series is insired by debates wihin the black community, detates which repeat themselves thoughout the Diaspora. Themes include the search for guardians of black values in the black community, what those values are, and the role of Commerce and Race.

Artist Bio (extract)

Of German Jamaican Parentage brought up in England and China, Barrett exhibited at expo 2000 and was a contributor to the Royal St Catherine’s Conference of Commonwealth Arts. She is also responsible for an annual installatione subject of walls and cultural division/performance piece in Berlin. More..
